This three-phase energy logger is ideal for the following.
- Determining the energy usage/load profile of a building’s energy usage over a period of time.
- Determining a building’s peak power usage.
- Testing the quality of supply for example voltage dips and harmonic analysis, and establishing if voltage levels are in the acceptable range for PV Inverters.

Current sensing coils
This meter comes with MRC24 600A Rogowski current sensing coils. If you would like to measure larger currents, or larger bus bars, order the following rogowski coils additionally.
ST08 current clamps
Alternatively you can order the ST08 current clamps. This is idea for measuring small current flows below 1 A, but also up to 10A or 20A.

The default password is 1000. If you forgot the custom password you set, then please contact us for the master password to reset it again.
Yes, it comes with 5 voltage sensing leads, 4 current sensing coils, and a USB power supply and cable. The diameter of the current sensing coils is 24mm and it can measure up to 600A, If you want to measure higher currents, then you have to buy larger Rogowski coils, also available here.
The device comes with two 18659 Lithium batteries.
The build in LiPo batteries last 10 hours. We recommend plugin it into mains power if planning to log for longer than 10 hours. Alternatively one could also use a large USB power bank, just make sure it is large enough to last the duration you want to log for. A 10 0000 mAh Power bank will last 3 days in our experience.
Each meter is factory-tested and calibrated. The allowable variance is less than 0.05% Click here to see an example factory meter calibration report. The ME440 logs to its data to 31GB internal memory. Then you can then download the data to an USB stick.
The metre automatically starts logging data as soon as it’s turned on.
This feature must just be enabled. Watch the following video on how to enable this feature:
To delete data that is currently stored on the meter, do the following.
- Press F4 to go to the Setting\Record screen.
- Press OK to go the the Setting\Record\Store screen.
- Press F1 and hold it for 3 seconds, a message will come up asking “Erase MicroSD Card?”
- Pres OK to confirm and delete all data from the internal MicroSD Card.

The minimum logging interval of the Mi550 is five seconds. The minimum logging interval of the ME440 and ME435 is one seconds.
On the ME440, the sample rate of the electrical energy measurement chip is 8k samples per second.

- For installations where there is a neutral cable.

- 3-phase, 3-wire
- This should only be used for balanced loads like some inverters and motors.
- For installations where there is no neutral cable.
- 1PH2W_LL
- 1-phase, 2-wire
- North-American Split-phase System
- Two live wires (two 120V lines 180 degrees out of phase to get 240V)
- 1PH2W_LN
- 1-phase, 2-wire
- Normal single-phase system for most counties
- One live and a Neutral wire
- 1PH3W_LLN
- 1-phase, 3-wire
- North-American Split-phase System
- Two live and a Neutral wire (120V)
To connect the meter for a single phase setup, connect the phase voltage to phase A (terminal UA) connect the (terminal UN) to neutral and the Earth terminal to Earth.
To measure the current connect the Rogowski coil live wire to Port IA, and the Neutral wire to port IN. Please take care that the Rogowski coils are connected the right way around.
The Wire setting must be set to: 1PH2W_LN
One could measure just the current, and not the voltage, but then one would only have the current values. All other factors, can then not be calculated factors like the power, the power factor, the energy and other aspects. So, it is highly recommended to always measure both current and voltage leads.
The maximum input voltage that the ME440 can handle is 480 VAC, L-N.

Meter data analysis, visualisation and reporting
We have created an Excel template that can analyse the data and visualise it with graphs. It has the following features and graphs.
